Hypothetical situation...
You have to choose between the life of your significant other who would grow old with you and the life of your child who would die in the next five years.
Whose life would you choose to save? Why?
What would you tell the condemned?
(Don't ask.)

I would let the significant other go, and keep the dying child. Here's why: In five years I would be forty with no wife and kid . . . the world wouldn't be ready.
Seriously, are you trying to tell us something???
Seriously, I'm really fine (as far as I know anyway). I go through these dark periods of life when I tend to obsess about death, dying, etc. I'm in one of those dark periods now I suppose.
I work with a young woman who had been having trouble with her hip. She finally decided to go see the doctor to have it checked out. Good news... it wasn't her hip. Bad news... she has a mass on her lymph nodes that doesn't look good. Her biopsy was Monday this week and she hasn't been back to work since. She's single and vibrant, in her early 20's, with her whole life ahead of her and it makes me feel incredibly sad to think that her biopsy showed the mass was malignant.
Makes me think of my own mortality and just how quickly my life could change.
I'd use my Black Arts to steal the life-force from a concemned killer and reforge it and give it to my loved ones so neither would have to die. BWahahahahaha!
